Lu Longqi (1630-1692), originally named Longqi, and styled Jiashu. He was from Pinghu, Zhejiang. Scholars called him Mr. Danghu. He was a Neo-Confucianist in the Qing Dynasty.
He became a Jinshi in the ninth year of Kangxi (1670), and served as the magistrate of Jiading in Jiangnan, Lingshou in Zhili, and the censor of Sichuan Dao, etc. He was known as a strict official at the time. When he left office, he only had a few books and his wife's loom.
He focused on Zhu Xi in academic studies and rejected Lu and Wang. He was praised by the Qing court as "the first Neo-Confucian official of this dynasty" and was called "the two Lu" together with Lu Shiyi.
He died in the 31st year of Kangxi (1692). In the first year of Qianlong (1736), he was posthumously named Qingxian, and was given the title of cabinet scholar and minister of the Ministry of Rites, and was worshipped in the Confucius Temple. He wrote "Kunmianlu", "Dushu Zhiyi", "Sanyutang Collection of Essays", etc.
